Imagine standing in the heart of the Tyrolean mountains, surrounded by emerald meadows, babbling brooks, and crystal clear lakes. Every year, that’s exactly what we experience on my magical photo trip to Austria, specially organized for dog and horse photographers. This is not just any trip; this is a week full of inspiration, learning, and unforgettable memories. What’s more, there is only room for 7 photographers, so everyone gets personal attention. From 2025, this trip will be internationally accessible, meaning participants from all over the world can join and enjoy this special experience.
Beautiful Locations in the Heart of Nature
Our home base is the idyllic Rinnen, located in the enchanting region of Tyrol. Here we are surrounded by majestic mountains that form a perfect backdrop for our photography. During the week we will deviate and visit various locations that are each unique:
Lakes : Capture dogs and horses playing or posing along the crystal clear waters surrounded by the towering mountains.
Forests : Discover the play of light and shadow as we walk through fairytale forest landscapes and capture amazing models.
Rivers : Create dynamic images of animals frolicking in the rippling water.
Pastures : Enjoy the golden light during sunset as horses and dogs move freely among the fresh grass.
Tyrolean Mountains : This impressive background gives your photos an epic, imposing & magical atmosphere.
As the icing on the cake, we also spend a day in Germany, where we explore the beautiful surroundings of the Chiemsee. This versatile landscape offers a whole new dimension to your photography.

We will stay in our own house, the Mountainlodge Tirol, which consists of luxurious lodges that are fully equipped. Here you can relax after an inspiring day with a breathtaking view of the mountains. When booking, you can choose from four different apartments, each with its own price. This is because some lodges are larger or smaller, and you have the choice to sleep alone or have a roomie. This flexibility ensures that there is a suitable option for everyone. The lodges not only offer relaxation, but also the perfect place to edit and perfect your magical images. Whether you are sitting in the comfortable living room or enjoying the fresh mountain air from the balcony with a sun, this place gives you the space to be creative and come to yourself.

Mini Branding Shoots : Work on your own branding and let yourself shine as a photographer! With various images of you at a number of locations you can bring yourself to the forefront for all your social media channels and website.
Photoshop Class : Learn tips and techniques to take your photos to the next level. Photoshop is a crucial part of the photo editing process and I work almost exclusively in Photoshop unless an image is exceptionally difficult, in which case I use Lightroom. During this class, I will share all my secret techniques and show you my entire workflow. This group Photoshop class is the perfect opportunity to spar, learn and develop your skills!
Group activity : Fun and laughter create a stronger bond within the group. That is why we also do a fun group activity to step outside of photography for a while.
Pizza Night in our own garden : Create your own perfect pizza and enjoy a relaxing evening full of fun with a nice drink and music!
Eating out with the Group : Taste the local cuisine and enjoy each other's company. I carefully choose a restaurant where the ambiance perfectly matches the atmosphere of our trip. While we enjoy delicious regional dishes, this is the ideal opportunity to exchange experiences, laugh together, and reminisce about the day. Why a photo tour in Austria?
A big dream of mine was to organize a photo trip one day. But where to? No country gave me a direct reason to organize something there. Until our move to Austria in 2022 came our way. We left with the whole family to Rinnen, a small village next to Berwang in the Zugspitze Arena. There I continued my photography of course and discovered the nature and special places of Austria. I saw many locations and with many of them there was one thought that came to me: "Wow, if only more photographers saw these places!" From then on, the big dreams of organizing a photo trip one day started and last year I organized the first edition! And wow, what a lot of fun it was to do! It was really a mega cool kick-off!
